Lauren has always been passionate about helping children and young people discover their confidence through singing and performance. With extensive experience in the music and entertainment industry, she understands that developing a great voice is only part of the journey — building self-belief, resilience and confidence is what truly allows young performers to flourish.
Lauren studied for a BA (Hons) in Music before completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). This blend of professional performance and educational training lets her work confidently with children in a supportive environment, adapting to every age, ability and learning style. She founded her vocal coaching business in 2008 and has since guided hundreds of students through performances, examinations, auditions and professional opportunities.

Drawing on years of professional performing and vocal coaching, Lauren supports children through every stage of their development — from preparing for school productions and talent shows to auditions for performing arts schools, colleges, universities and professional theatre. She also shares invaluable insight into the realities of the entertainment industry, preparing young performers for the opportunities and the challenges that come with a career in the performing arts.

As part of their training, students also have access to Lauren's professional home recording studio. Recording sessions help young performers develop microphone technique, gain confidence in a studio environment and produce professional-quality recordings for auditions, showreels, competitions or personal milestones.

Lauren's passion for empowering young people inspired her to establish Confidence for Kids CIC in early 2026 — founded to make high-quality performing arts education and confidence-building opportunities accessible to children, helping them grow not only as performers but as confident, resilient individuals.

Lauren's next chapter: the launch of StageBound — Lauren Waterworth Academy, opening in her hometown of Wigan in 2027. Coinciding with nearly twenty years of coaching experience, the academy will provide exceptional training in singing, acting and performance — nurturing confidence, creativity and individuality in every student.
