Different rooms need different setups. The three options below cover almost every booking — but if you've got something unusual in mind, just ask. I'm happy to scale up or down.

Solo with backing tracks
Polished, professional, contained. The signature option — full studio production behind a single live voice. The most flexible and budget-friendly setup that still sounds like a complete band.

Acoustic with guitar
Stripped back. Voice and a guitarist (often Lauren plays alongside). For events that want warmth, intimacy and conversation-friendly volume — the soul of the song without the production.

The dance-floor option. Vocals, drums, bass, guitars, keys. The wedding evening, the corporate after-party, the festival stage. When the room needs to move, this is the booking.

Speakers, mics, mixer, monitor, leads — professional kit set up an hour before performance time and packed away after. You won't be wrangling tech on the day.

Travel within Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire is included. Further afield gets a clear mileage quote up front — never a vague "plus travel" line.

Learning your first dance, ceremony song, parents' dance, any specific request. You'll get a rehearsal clip a week before so you know exactly how it'll sound on the day.

Proper contracts & deposits
25% deposit secures the date. Full written contract before any money. Balance 14 days before the event. Cover-singer arrangement in writing for genuine emergencies.

How much does it cost to book Lauren?
Fees depend on date, distance, set length, and your setup choice. Solo / acoustic usually £550–£1,800; full band typically £1,500–£3,500+. Send the details and you'll have a real quote within 24 hours — never a 'from £X' placeholder.
Solo, acoustic or full band — which suits our event?
Solo with tracks suits ceremonies, drinks receptions and corporate dinners — polished and professional in a single voice. Acoustic with guitar adds warmth and intimacy — best for garden weddings and smaller parties. Full band is the dance-floor option for evening parties, larger weddings and festivals. Tell me the room and I'll suggest what works.
Can you learn our first dance or specific songs?
Yes — first dance, ceremony song, parents' dance, anything important. I'll learn it properly and send you a rehearsal clip about a week before so you can hear how it'll sound on the actual setup. No surprises on the day.
Do you provide all the PA and sound equipment?
Yes — full kit. Speakers, mics, mixer, monitor, leads. You don't need to organise anything technical. I arrive 60–90 minutes before performance time to set up properly, and pack down after.
How long do you perform for? Can we extend the set?
Standard sets are 2 × 45 minutes or 3 × 30 minutes with a few minutes between. Background music plays during the breaks. Extended sets can be arranged at extra cost — just mention it in the enquiry and I'll quote it in.
Do you take deposits and provide a contract?
Yes — 25% deposit secures the date. Full written contract sent before any money changes hands. Balance due 14 days before the event. Contracts include cover-singer arrangements if I'm ill or have a genuine emergency.
What about travel costs?
Travel inside Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire is included. Further afield is quoted with reasonable mileage. For late finishes or long-distance events, hotels are quoted up front — never added as a hidden cost after booking.
What if you can't make it on the day?
I work with a small network of trusted singers and bands. In the unlikely event of illness or genuine emergency, I'll arrange a high-quality replacement at no extra cost to you. This is written into the contract.
