Music for the milestones that matter.

Private parties come in shapes — a 50th birthday with a dance floor, a quiet anniversary dinner, an engagement celebration. The setup changes; the personal feel stays.
01 Birthdays · all decades

Milestone birthdays

The big-number birthdays where someone has gathered everyone they love. Solo with backing tracks for intimate dinners; full band when there's a dance floor and a hundred guests. The "happy birthday" song done properly, not as karaoke.

Best with: Solo with backing tracks or Full band
02 Silver · ruby · gold

Anniversaries

Celebrating decades together. The "our song" moment, learned properly and performed live — not played off a phone. Stripped-back sets that suit a couple's actual playlist rather than a generic party setlist.

Best with: Acoustic with guitar or Solo
03 Pre-wedding

Engagement parties

A taste of what's coming. Live singing for the celebration before the day itself — gives you a feel for what booking a wedding singer would look like, too, if you're still deciding.

Best with: Acoustic or Solo with backing tracks
04 Big family nights

Family gatherings & reunions

Multi-generational parties — Sinatra for grandad, Adele for mum, current chart hits for the cousins. The job is reading what each part of the room needs and stitching it together so nobody feels left out.

Best with: Full band or Solo with backing tracks

Three ways to bring me to your party.

Different parties suit different setups. Mix across the night if it works — acoustic for the dinner portion, full band when the floor opens. Tell me what you're picturing.
01

Solo with backing tracks

Polished, professional, contained. Studio-quality production behind a single live voice — sounds like a full band, fits any room from a function suite to a marquee. The most flexible setup for private parties with mixed-age crowds.

Best forMilestone birthdays, anniversary dinners, smaller venues, full-evening bookings.
From £550
02

Acoustic with guitar

Voice and guitar — warmer, more personal. Ideal for engagement parties, anniversary dinners, garden gatherings, and the moments where you want something more intimate than a band but more present than a playlist.

Best forEngagement parties, anniversary dinners, garden & home parties, smaller celebrations.
From £750
03

Full band

The dance-floor option for the big-number birthdays. Vocals, drums, bass, guitars, keys — proper live band energy. Builds the room from first dance through to last orders, with the energy a full band brings.

Best forMilestone birthdays with a dance floor, large family parties, marquee celebrations.
From £1,500

What's included.

The practical stuff sorted up front. No "plus VAT", no "plus travel", no surprise add-ons the morning of the party.

  • 01

    Full PA & sound

Speakers, mics, mixer, monitor, leads — set up well in advance, sound-checked before guests arrive. Works equally well in a marquee, function room, or a converted barn.

  • 02

    Travel & setup

Travel within Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire is included. Further afield gets a clear mileage quote up front. Hotels for late-finish bookings are quoted alongside the booking.

  • 03

    Specific songs learned

The "our song", grandad's favourite, the birthday person's walk-on track. Learned properly and a rehearsal clip sent before the event so you know how it'll sound. Surprise parties coordinated quietly via the organiser, not the guest of honour.

  • 04

    Contracts & deposit terms

25% deposit secures the date. Written contract before any money changes hands. Balance due 14 days before the party. No surprise add-ons.

  • 05

    Reading the room

Private parties usually mean multi-generational rooms — knowing when to swing into a Sinatra number for the older guests, when the cousins need a current banger, when grandma's 80th really wants Tom Jones. That's the unwritten part of the job.

Before you book me.

The questions I get asked most about private party bookings — answered up front. Anything missing? Drop it in the enquiry.

How much does a private party singer cost?

Depends on the date, setup, and how long you want me there. Solo with backing tracks starts at £550. Acoustic with guitar from £750. Full band from £1,500. Travel within Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire is included; further afield gets a clear quote up front. Send the details and you'll have a real number within 24 hours.

Do you do milestone birthdays — 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 80th?

Yes — all of them. Each milestone tends to have its own vibe. 40th and 50th are often dance-floor focused (full band suits). 60th and 70th lean more toward dinner and a sing-along (solo or acoustic). 80th and 90th sometimes want quieter, more intimate sets. I'll suggest what fits when you tell me about the guests and venue.

Can you learn specific songs — our song, the birthday person's favourite?

Yes — that's what makes a private party feel personal. "Our song" for an anniversary, a parent's favourite for their 60th, a partner's walk-on track for an engagement. Learned properly with a rehearsal clip sent a week or so before so you know it'll sound right on the night.

Can you do garden parties or outdoor events?

Yes — garden parties, marquees, outdoor venues all work. The PA needs to be set up under cover (a gazebo or marquee corner works fine), and there needs to be a power supply within range of an extension lead. Beyond that, no issues with outdoor performance.

How long do you perform for?

Standard set length is 2 × 45 minutes or 3 × 30 minutes, with background music or your own playlist during breaks. Most private parties book a single arrival-to-late-evening package. Extended sets can be arranged at additional cost — just flag what you're picturing in the enquiry.

Do you bring PA for smaller venues like home parties?

Yes — I bring full PA regardless of venue size. For smaller venues (home parties, restaurant private rooms) I bring a scaled-down setup that fits the room without overwhelming it. The kit packs into one car-load for solo bookings, so it works in any space with a power socket.

What's your travel area and what does it cost?

Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire — included in the standard fee. Beyond that, a fair mileage quote goes up front (not a vague "plus travel" line that lands later). UK-wide bookings welcome; if the event runs late and the distance is significant, hotel costs quoted alongside the booking.

How far in advance should we book?

Saturday nights in peak months (May–September for parties; November–December for Christmas-overlap) tend to go 4–6 months out. For weeknights and quieter months, 6–8 weeks is usually fine. Last-minute (under 2 weeks) sometimes possible if a slot's open.

Can you do surprise parties without spoiling the surprise?

Yes — surprise parties are coordinated quietly via the organiser. No emails, no direct contact with the guest of honour. Booking, song requests, rehearsal clip — all goes through whoever's organising. Even pre-party setup can be quiet, or arranged for after the guest of honour arrives if the venue can take the kit beforehand.

Got a milestone coming up?

Send the details — date, venue, who it's for, what you're picturing — and you'll have a real quote within 24 hours. Surprise parties handled discreetly via whoever's organising.
